Frequently Asked Questions

Little Willow

FAQs

  • How will we stay in contact with parents?

At Little Willow we will be engaging with our little one’s families through the application platform Brightwheel. This app is such an amazing tool for parent-teacher communication. Each parent will have the opportunity to download the program on their phones, where our head teachers will post the weekly curriculum. Teachers will also upload daily pictures, videos, diaper change statuses, potty runs, meals, etc., making it so easy for parents to follow along throughout the day. We find it extremely important for all of our parents to feel a sense of security knowing their child is safe, nurtured, and educated at Little Willow.

  • What is the teacher: student ratio?

We find it extremely important to maintain a calm environment for both baby and teacher. We go the extra length to add extra staff into our classrooms as needed! Our infant room ratio is lower than the state requirements as we find it necessary to make sure each baby stays on their schedules and is cared for the way they would be in their own home.

    Infant (6 weeks—18 months)—1:3

    Toddler (18 months—3 years)—1:6

    Preschool (3 years—4 years )—1:9

    Pre-K (4 years—5 years )—1:10

  • How do I know the teachers are qualified?

Each teacher who is hired at Little Willow, must fit in with our community standards and ethics. We will be hiring head teachers who are fully accredited as we find it extremely important to have a confident team. Under each head teacher will be a number of assistant teachers which will help guide learning. Having a concrete, intelligent, kind staff is vital to our philosophy, after all, these teachers will be responsible for growing the little minds and hearts of our students.

  • Are snacks and meals included?

Due to COVID-19 regulations, childcare centers are unable to provide food to families. That being said, when we are allowed (which we hope is very soon) we will be providing snacks! Little Willow will provide breakfast, morning snack, and an afternoon snack. Parents/Guardians will only need to pack a lunch!

  • Will my child be spending time outside?

We will be creating a beautiful, fun outdoor area where children will have the space to run free. We will be incorporating natural outdoor play equipment for the children to improve their physical development. Here the children will increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and even skip! The children will also continue to work on socialization skills with their classmates outdoors.

  • How will Little Willow provide support for my child who may be developmentally delayed?

Little Willow will be teaming up with the region’s Early Intervention program! We are currently in communication to get full support at our childcare center for students who may be developing some type of delay. We find it extremely important to implement Early Intervention in our center in order for all students to get a head start if needed with intervention plans before heading into the school system. If a parent sees any type of red flag and would like to get an evaluation done on their child, we will be able to accommodate that free of charge to our families at Little Willow and then set the child up with services if needed. Services will take place at Little Willow with the appropriate specialist.

  • If I sign up for the Early Sign Up Discount, will this rate continue throughout my child’s enrollment?

Yes! We are giving a 10% discount to our first members who sign up in the months of April, May, or June!! This discount will continue throughout the entirety of your child’s enrollment at Little Willow.
